Dr. Alpha
Answers for import and export businesses from H-α's reference files: the documents and rules on a lane, duty and import VAT, sanctions, what a named buyer requires of a supplier, and the landed cost on your own price. Every answer names its source and the date it was checked. Where the record is silent, he says so.
What Dr. Alpha answers
Each item is answered from a file H-α maintains, never from a search of the internet or a language model's general knowledge.
Example answers
Answers as Dr. Alpha gave them to a seat on 12 October 2026, with the figure each carries.
Where an answer comes from
- Country rules on file: declaration systems, authorities, required and conditional documents, each side of a lane.
- The customs engine: HS codes, MFN duty, import VAT, trade-agreement preferences, with a LIVE (current tariff schedule) or SEED (country baseline) band on every rate.
- The sanctions reference: the OFAC, EU, UK and UN programme pages, each with the date it was checked; the OFAC SDN, UN and EU consolidated lists for name screening.
- Counterparty rule sets: what a named buyer or seller requires, read from its own published notice or rule, or marked as a comparable form or precedent where it is not its own.
- ICC Incoterms 2020 (Publication 723E) for the allocation of costs and risk.
Dr. Alpha does not search the internet, does not answer from a model's general knowledge, and does not fill a missing record with a guess.
What a seat does not include
Counterparty records, market prices, freight figures and deals are part of an H-α commodity subscription, not a Dr. Alpha seat. A seat that asks for them is told so and pointed to the commodities offered by subscription.
Price
Prices in US dollars.
